13: Padded For the Night

A few hours passed before Sonic, Tails, and their mother were back in the boys’ bedroom. Tails’ bunk had been dried off and redressed… saved for one pillow.

Tails was using it for the inevitable diapering Vanilla was giving him right now. But before he knew it, she was finished. The boy wasn’t completely surprised because of two reasons:

1) He didn’t do anything in his pants, so all she had to do was powder and fasten.

2) Their mother was a diaper-changing expert with eight years of experience.

He turned to face Sonic. His brother was in his T-Shirt and a pair of boxers, listening to his MP3 Player.

                “All finished, son!” said Vanilla.

Tails sighed and sat up. He looked down at the diaper his mother put on him: it looked exactly like the last one he saw his sister wearing; Cream’s was smaller, of course, but it had the same panel of graphics on the waist shield.

He poked the padding with his finger. It crinkled softly.

He was not happy about wearing it.

                It smelled nice, though.

Vanilla gave her son a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “You’ll be fine,” she said. “It’s just till morning.” She got up and left the room.

Tails stood up and looked down at the diaper one more time. He just couldn’t stop looking at it.

It felt good, but it was so babyish. Of course, it was made for babies, but he was small enough to wear it. It fit better than Cream’s, that’s for sure.

                Sonic chuckled softly.

Tails turned and faced the hedgehog, a bit ticked. “This isn’t funny, Sonic.”

“I’m sorry, dude, I didn’t mean to laugh,” his brother said. “It’s just that it’s been forever since I’ve seen you wear a diaper.”

“Well, I don’t like it,” the boy walked around a little. He crinkled with every step. It was soft though — inside and out.

“Dude,” Sonic said, “nobody in this house is going to treat you like a baby just because you have to wear diapers to bed!”

Tails threw his pillow onto his bunk and propelled himself up there. “At least I can still fly with this on,” said the fox. He wasn’t even going to change into his pajamas; he was too disappointed to do anything right now. He crawled under the covers in just his diaper, socks, and the shirt he was wearing. He just wanted to go to sleep and hope this day was just a dream.

“Already going to bed?” asked Sonic.

“Sonic,” said Tails “I don’t want to talk right now.”

12: A Mother-to-Son Talk

Tails sat on Sonic’s bunk in the two boys’ bedroom. Their mother told him to go in there because she and Sonic had a surprise for him. The top bunk was reeling from the earlier accident: it was free of the boy’s sheets and still quite damp.

The sky was a darker shade of blue now: it was getting late.

What was this idea? It wasn’t a punishment, Vanilla said; he didn’t deserve punishment.

Vanilla entered the bedroom with the paper grocery bag that Sonic brought home.

“You wanted to see me, Mom?” Tails asked.

Vanilla put the bag on the ground in front of her feet. “Son, I know you don’t like having these accidents when you’re asleep,” she said. “Personally, I think it might be the end result of you working yourself too hard.”

“What? I’m not working too hard,” Tails said.

“Son,” said Vanilla “half the nights this week, you’ve been down in the lab repairing your submarine and those robots of Eggman’s for the museum. You rarely went to bed before 1:00 AM.”

Tails looked down at his feet. “But Mom, repairing and inventing is what I do…”

“And I don’t want you to stop,” she said, softly. “I just don’t want you to burn out doing too much. That’s partially why Sonic took you out the night when… well… you know.”

                Tails blushed. “Yeah… I know…”

“Sonic got you these, just in case,” she said, bending over at the bag. Its contents were obscured by the brown paper.

Tails lifted his head, he was curious about but what she had for him. But his curiosity turned into shock when he saw what his mother pulled out.

Out of the bag came a pale-violet-and-green plastic package. The words “Comfies Ultra-Dry” were emblazoned across the rectangular bag about mid-way between the center and top of it — the very brand of diapers they get for Cream! The only difference was that they were two sizes bigger than hers.

“DIAPERS?! YOU’RE PUTTING ME IN DIAPERS?!”

“Calm down, calm down,” she said “Let me explain.” The rabbit half-expected the boy to freak out like this, but these were needed for him.

“I thought you weren’t going to punish me!” Tails complained.

“We are not punishing you,” said Vanilla, trying to level with her son. “Sonic got these just in case you wet your pants again.”

Tails was starting to get embarrassed.

Vanilla could see that the boy was troubled by the fact that he was given diapers. He probably felt like he was going to be a baby like his sister. “Miles,” said Vanilla “I don’t think you’re a baby.” She was one of the few people who had the privilege of saying Tails’ real name; she was, after all, his mother. Sonic and Cream couldn’t do that.

“But I don’t want to wear them, I don’t need them!”

“That’s right,” Vanilla said. “You don’t need them — when you’re awake. The two accidents happened when you were asleep.”

Tails covered his face with his hands and groaned.

                “Doody!”

That was Cream’s voice. Something happened!

Sonic poked his head in the room, carrying his sister. Cheese was with them, looking concerned; Cream was crying her eyes out, her head on his shoulder.

“How are things going, Mom?” Sonic asked in a slightly raised voice.

                “Tough,” she said. “What happened?”

“Cream was playing around in the den and fell on her butt,” he explained. “She’s not hurt, but she took a dump before it happened. I’ve gotta change her before I need a hearing aid.”

                With that, they were gone.

To Vanilla’s eyes, all the crying didn’t seem to affect Tails. “Son, your sister wears diapers all the time. You just need them for when you go to bed.”

“Fine, I’ll wear them…” Tails sighed.

“It won’t be so bad,” she assured him “When morning comes around, you can change and be back in your underwear!”

Cream’s crying was starting to subside. Her change was almost finished, it seemed.

Tails nodded. He still didn’t like the idea though. He somehow had a scary feeling that what he saw with his sister right now might be him someday…

11: The Bootleg Zone

Dr. Eggman hovered over the parking lot with Cubot and Orbot in his robo-pod. The Egg Manta hovered way out in the distance.

Between the doctor and Sonic was a horned robot about the size of an NBA player.

“So what’s your harebrained scheme tonight, Eggy?” Sonic asked, annoyed.

“Well, I couldn’t come up with a new robot to kill you with or an update for one of my older models… so I modified these Chinatown action figures!” the doctor exclaimed. “I’d like to introduce you to Mazinga 7!”

Sonic blinked. “Just by looking at it, I think Go Nagai might sue somebody.”

“Shut it, hedgehog!” the doctor growled. “Here comes the brain!”

A little hovercraft, which definitely was not based on Mazinger Z’s pilder vehicle, landed in the robot that obviously was not Mazinger Z. The big toy turned on.

“After that,” said Sonic “Go Nagai is probably going to sue someone.”

The giant action figure fired its right fist at the hedgehog, who side-stepped it a Spin Dashed the big plastic robot.

It went to pieces. Seems it wasn’t very sturdy.

“After that,” said the hedgehog “I’m not so sure he’ll want to do it, since it’s junk now. Later, Egghead!” The boy tried to walk away and get his bag.

10: Family Assembly

The washing machine was rumbling in the background. It contained the bed sheets off of Tails’ bed.

Only ten minutes ago, Tails had an accident on them when he was taking a nap. Cream was napping with him and she had to get clean clothes.

Now the whole household was gathered in the den for a family assembly. After what had happened, it was inevitable.

“I-I don’t know what happened honest,” said Tails, sinking into the sofa.

Sonic knelt before his brother. “Bro,” he said “how long has this been going on?”

“Since the night before…” the fox admitted.

“Dude, you didn’t pee in the bed the other night,” said the hedgehog.

Tails blushed and twittled his fingers. “Well…You see…I-I kinda…”

“I gave Tails one of my diapies,” said Cream.

“You gave Tails a diaper?” said Sonic

Vanilla held one out.  It was stretched a bit, but it was clean. They’d found it in the boy’s pillow case when stripping the bed. “Is this it?”

Tails blushed and nodded nervously. “Uh huh…”

Sonic faced his sister. “Cream, why did you give Tails a diaper? He’s too big for them.”

“Because he was so upset about pooping in his bed that night,” the little bunny explained. “I didn’t want him to be sad… I’m sorry… I didn’t know what I did was wrong, I just wanted to help.”

“Son,” said Vanilla “is this true?”

Tails nodded. “Yes, she didn’t want to see me upset… but when I had it on, nothing happened.”

“Tails, did you… hide your, well… present so we didn’t know what happened?” asked Sonic.

Tails was getting really nervous. He didn’t know how much trouble he would get in but he knew he had to tell the truth. “Y-Yes… I threw my ruined underwear in Cream’s diaper pail…”

Sonic zipped off for the nursery.

Vanilla sat next to her son.

Tails started to whimper. He was feeling really embarrassed by this whole situation.

“Son, I’m not mad at you,” she said softly.

“Ugh! Hey, Mom!” Sonic called “I think I see something that looks like underpants, it’s the only bit of red in here!” It seemed that the groan came from Sonic smelling his sister’s recent accidents in the bin.

Tails blushed even more. “That’s them… So now what?”

Vanilla sighed.  “It wasn’t your fault,” she said “but you could have told me what happened when you pooped that night.”

“I’m sorry, Mom… I-I thought you’d get upset at me… and Sonic would think I’m just a big baby…”

“Tails,” said Vanilla “I’m your mother. I’d love you no matter what. So does your brother and your sister.” Maybe he’s working himself too hard, she thought. I mean, the Sea Fox, those robots…

Cream got into a crawling position. “So now what Mommy?” she asked.

The older rabbit winked. “I think I might have an idea just in case your brother goes potty in the bed again, Cream.”

Tails gulped.

Vanilla saw the boy do this. “Don’t worry,” she said “I am not going to punish you. You don’t even deserve anything of the sort! Give me a hug.”

Tails hugged his mother and softly cried, feeling embarrassed about this whole ordeal.

“It will be alright,” she told him. “Things will be alright.”

Cream and Cheese also latched onto him.

9: Tempting Fate

Beneath the Rabbit residence was a large facility built by Tails. This was his underground laboratory: a place for research and experimentation, as well as a garage for his vehicles like the Tornado and Sea Fox.

It wasn’t secret at all. In fact, the Sonic Museum had come by that morning to pick up the repaired Silver Sonic prototype for an exhibit and check the status on the other robot.

Currently, the “bead worm” (as Tails code-named the machine) was almost damage-free again; with the robot nearing completion ahead of schedule, the boy told them to return in the morning.

Taking a break, Tails left the lab and came back to the house.

He saw Sonic seated on the couch, playing video games on the TV; however, he didn’t have the energy at the moment to play with him.

He wanted a nap. That banged-up bot took a lot out of him.

He made for the stairs.

8: Tails’ Resolve

Tails climbed out of the bathtub and pulled the plug out. As the water level got lower and lower, a growling sound came from the drain.

After drying himself off with a towel, he looked over on the toilet. On the cover were his pajamas, a pair of briefs with a blue trim… and the diaper his sister gave him.

“There is no way that this is going to fit,” he said, studying it. Cream was still able to fit in regular baby diapers — she wasn’t even big enough to wear Sizes 5 or 6 yet.

He only had two options: either lose another pair of underpants to another possible accident or squeeze into something that he was seven pounds too heavy to wear.

He thought back to Cream. She gave him her diaper because she didn’t want him to be sad in the morning.

“Well,” he said, swallowing his pride “here goes nothing.”

Tails set the diaper under his butt and tried to tape it up. The tabs barely got to the landing zone.

Standing up, Tails walked around in the diaper a bit. It crinkled a little with each step he took; it felt soft too, inside and out. Well, I can see one reason Cream would like these.

He went over to the toilet, got his underwear off the cover, and slipped it on over the diaper.  His pajamas went on next.

All that was left was to go to bed. Sonic would be on in a little bit.

This time, he was ready. No pooping this time, if he could help it.

CHAPTER 7: Cream’s Solution

“Okay, Barry,” Tails said into the phone “I can get that Sonic robot from last night restored by tomorrow night. The ‘bead worm’ thing might take a little while longer. Okay. Bye.” He hung up and put the phone on the coffee table.
He stretched out and turned on the TV. Some female body wash commercial was almost over when another one started up — an advertisement that made Tails’ blood go cold:

Outside the BATHROOM. We hear liquid dribbling into the toilet, which soon stops.

Cut to inside the BATHROOM. A little human girl, about six years of age, pulls up her shorts flushes the toilet.

She walks happily out, leaving the rumbling sound behind her.

She goes to the KITCHEN door and pushes it open. The viewer can see a distinct wet patch on her butt; somebody forgot to take something off in there!

Her mother is at the counter with a few paper grocery bags. The girl tugs at the woman’s shirt from behind. The mother turns around.

She checks the seat of her daughter’s pants, sees the dampness, and gives a knowing smile.

She goes over to one of the brown paper bags and pulls out a package of COMFIES SUPERS. The camera zooms in on the pack the mother is holding…

FEMALE NARRATOR: “The new COMFIES SUPERS…”

…and pans over to the “Magic Shapes” blurb.

FEMALE NARRATOR: “…with Magic Shapes that fade when wet.”

Cut to the Bathroom. The child is on the bath mat; her mother is fastening a diaper on her.

FEMALE NARRATOR: “It’s the best way to say ‘bye-bye’ to underwear.”

She rises to her feet.

The mother drops a used baby wipe in the toilet; the girl pulls the handle. They watch the wipe swirl down.

Close up of the child’s face. She takes a deep breath through her nose and squeezes her eyes shut. After a few seconds, she exhales and relaxes. She did something she’d waited to get diapered up for. It may have been happening offscreen, but what she did was obvious.

GIRL: “Ah!”

Freeze-frame; a COMFIES SUPERS package fades up in the lower-left hand corner with text to the right: “ACCIDENTS HAPPEN. LEAKS SHOULDN’T.”

NARRATOR: “COMFIES SUPERS: Accidents happen. Leaks shouldn’t.”

FADE OUT.

Tails cringed at the ending. Right now, he did not want to be reminded of bowel evacuations. There wasn’t anything he could do though: the commercial came right out of left field and this was the first time he’d seen it.
He turned the machine off in frustration and rolled over.
“Tails?”
The boy looked over his shoulder. Cream was standing behind him in a sky-blue romper and holding a plush Ricky in her arms.
“Already home?” he asked. “How was Amy’s?”
“We had a lot of fun. Had a good time with Sonic?”
“Mm-hmm.” The boy didn’t want to talk about last night’s incident with his sister. Knowing her, she’d probably say “But I poop in the bed a lot, too! Don’t feel bad about it.” What else would he expect her to say? She was still small enough for baby diapers.

Cream just looked at her big brother. He was acting pretty pouty, like he didn’t want to do anything with her. “Tails?”
The fox sighed. “Did you go potty?” he said with his back turned “Go get Mom or Sonic.”
“I didn’t,” she answered. “What’s the matter?”
“You don’t wanna know!”
Cream grabbed onto the boy’s shoulder. “You can tell me,” she said earnestly “I won’t laugh. I promise.”
Tails looked at the little bunny and sat up. “Cream, get up here.”
She did so.
Tails looked really worried and blushed a good deal. He leaned over and whispered into her ear: “Cream… last night, when I was asleep, I… I pooped in the bed.”
Cream didn’t know what to say. He, along with Sonic and Amy, confirmed that this was something that big kids don’t regularly do. For her, pooping in her pants wasn’t something alien. “Tails, I’m sorry that happened,” she told him with a hug.
“I haven’t done it in years,” Tails said, frustrated. “Just… how?
Cream looked down at her feet, trying to think. She looked back her brother; he was wiping a tear from his eye. He was upset with himself, more than anything.
If only she could do something about it.
BINGO!
She hopped off the sofa and ran off.
“Where are you going, Cream?” Tails asked.
She didn’t answer. She had an idea.

Cream had run out of the room; Tails followed after. The pursuit led upstairs and to Cream’s nursery.
As soon as the young fox went in her room, he found Cream pulling a fresh diaper out of a COMFIES ULTRA-DRY package leaning against her changing table. She turned around, toddled up to him, and held out the diaper.
Tails just stared at it and didn’t utter a word.
“When you go to bed tonight,” Cream told him “put this on.”
“You want me to wear one of your diapers?” Tails said, puzzled.
Cream looked at him, caring and serious, and spoke again: “Tails, I love you. You’re my big brother and I don’t want you to feel bad if poop in the bed again.”
“But, Cream…”
“Go on, Tails.” She insisted “Please take it.”
The fox relented. He held the diaper up and stared at it. It did smell nice, but that didn’t do much to bolster his confidence. Size 4, he said to himself, am I even going to fit in this?

A scene from the the current chapter.

And to think that he was getting well-rested, our young friend is now faced with something… that never happened before How will Sonic, and the rest of the family take it? Or more likely when that happens, what will they intend to do about it? One thing is for certain, that what he had been through just now was merely an accident. He’d keep telling himself that. But there’s no use in trying to deny it or the inevitable.

Chapter 6: Tails in the Bathroom

Everything around Tails was bigger as he ran down the hall.

He reached the bathroom door, but the handle was too high. Frantically, he kept jumping and trying to reach the handle.

Soon, he was able to grab it and turn it.

The door opened. Nobody was in the bathroom, but the toilet was ahead. The little stool Sonic used to get up there was already in front of it.

Looking down, Tails briskly tried to remove his diaper. Having been changed by his mother a bunch of times, he had an idea how to get off. After a few seconds, the tapes came loose and he darted for the toilet.

Even with Sonic’s stool, he still had to climb up onto the seat.

He had to remember how his brother did it. He started to strain and wiggle.

“YES! I WENT POTTY!”

Tails opened his eyes to see that he was no longer a little kid sitting on the toilet in the bathroom. He was back in the top bunk in his and Sonic’s bedroom. It was still dark, very early in the morning.

Blushing a little, Tails tried to go back to sleep.

For some reason he was dreaming of the first time he’d ever used the toilet. Back then, he wanted to learn from Sonic; he was, as still was, the most awesome guy he knew. Prior to that, he came into the bathroom with him to see how it was done. During that one brave moment, he accomplished doing his first stinky outside of a diaper.

He wanted to do it, especially since his sister was due in the near future.

Their mother was proud and their father, God bless him, was too.

It felt great to be a big boy.

As he tried to relax, something wasn’t right. Something didn’t feel right.

It wasn’t that he felt guilty or ill. Something felt sticky.

After a second or two, Tails remembered what he was dreaming about. All he could think was “Oh no”.

He flew down from his bunk and made his way to the door. Sonic was face-down in his pillow. The outburst didn’t wake him.

Tails crept into the bathroom and turned on the light.

He dropped his pajama pants and paused for a moment. “Please don’t have anything, please don’t have anything,” he whispered as his briefs came off.

The fox’s heart sank and every follicle of fur felt like it was standing on end when he looked into his underpants. It was something he hadn’t done in eons and it just happened again.

WhatamIgonnadowhatamIgonnadowhatamIgonnadowhatamIgonnado?, he thought frantically. Then it hit him: Cream’s diaper bin!

Fortunately, Cream was still over at Amy’s house, so waking her was impossible. The bin was right next to her changing table and nobody would probably notice.

In went the underwear.

He also borrowed a few baby wipes to clean up, and then it was back to the bathroom to get the rest of his pajamas.

One change of underwear later and it was back to bed.

Climbing back under the blanket, Tails tried to go back to sleep. One question, however, prevented him from doing so: “How could this happen?”

lulshi asked:

So, is anyone besides Cream also diapered regularly?

VANILLA: “Cream’s the only one who needs them.”

5: Boy’s Night Out

With their mother out on a date with Vector and their sister sleeping over at Amy’s, Sonic and Tails went out to have some time to themselves. The two got a little “supper” at the Diamond-Q (if you can call chili dogs with sides consisting of HoHos and Zebra Cakes a supper) and now, Sonic was glued to the PlayChoice-10 next to the ice box.
Tails wasn’t particularly interested in his brother’s RC Pro-Am session; right now, the young fox was staring at some bags of generic baby diapers on the shelves. The packaging was much smaller than the bags in the grocery store and it seemed as if they’d been sitting there since before he was born — untouched, unopened, and unpurchased.
He took a swig of his frosty slush. “Why am I staring?” the boy whispered.
Sonic was growling as he jiggled the joystick. “C’mon! Almost there… No!!” The timer ran out right as his car was about to cross the finish line; he now had to deposit another coin if he wanted to keep playing… and he didn’t have one.  “Well, at least I didn’t pick Metroid,” he sighed. “Hey, Tails, ready to go?”
The hedgehog’s voice was enough to snap Tails out of his daze. “Um, yeah. You ready?”
   Sonic nodded.
Tails took his slush and his packet of gummy sharks with him and walked toward the door. He turned around to face the shelf with the diapers one last time. He had no intention of getting them for Cream — they weren’t likely to fit her and she had enough at home already.
Then it hit him: Cream. That talk the two of them had yesterday as to why Sonic and Tails wore underwear put diapers in his mind. It wasn’t her fault, she was just curious about why they use the toilet. How did an innocent conversation like the one they had lead the boy into thinking about stuff he hadn’t worn in years?
“Tails!” Sonic called. He was standing in the doorway, leaning inward a bit.
This jolted Tails back to his senses once again. “I’m coming.”
“Are you alright, dude?” Sonic asked. “You keep zoning out.”
“I’ll be fine,” was the reply he got.

The two brothers reclined in a grassy lot near the airport, staring into the starry sky above. On slow nights, they’d come out there and just watch the stars; they did that ever since Tails was little. They even brought Cream out there sometimes.
“What something wrong, bro?” Sonic asked. “You were zoning out back at the Diamond-Q.”
“I don’t know,” said Tails. “I think I might have been pushing myself too hard in getting the Sea Fox working again.”
“I had a feeling,” said Sonic. “I always said that sometimes you have to take it easy.”
“I know,” the fox responded. “I try not to, but I guess I was kinda going overboard a little this time.”
“Well, that’s why we’re out here,” Sonic added. “This place always calms—!”
   BOOOOM!
Sonic sat up and looked around. There was now a column of smoke rising from the airport. “So much for a quiet night out. C’mon, dude!” He sprinted ahead, leaped over the fence, and made a mad dash down the runway.
Tails followed from a distance. In situations like this, he always had to catch up to his brother.

No sooner had Sonic reached the main building did he see a twenty-foot-tall, worm-like robot made up of four steel balls — three for the body, one for the head. It teetered a lot, hurling upper ball up into the air, which smashed down into the pavement; the middle segment was lobbed into the cockpit of an airliner; the bottom was rolled into the terminal.
With the head on the ground, a shrill beep filled the air. The three balls reassembled the robot.
No sooner had Tails caught up to his brother did the robot wobble around to reveal its face to the duo. Not only did it resemble one of Dr. Eggman’s old Caterkiller badniks, it was a robot they’d fought before!
“Sonic,” said Tails, a bit perplexed “didn’t we beat that thing back when Eggman tried to use the red Chaos Emerald to make nukes?”
“When the country was about to sink, you mean?” Sonic asked.
   “OHOHO! You boys remember!”
The boys knew that laugh. They turned around to see Eggman floating in his robo-pod with Orbot and Cubot; his face was it up like a Christmas tree.
“It warms my heart that the two of you remember EGG-08 Dangerous Ball Tower!” the doctor said with an evil joy. “This time, let’s see if you can survive again!”
Randomly, the bottom segment of EGG-08 went spinning at the duo, who managed to sidestep it.
Sonic tried to do a homing attack to its face, only to get a steel ball to hit him.
Tails did a spin dash at the head as soon as the last section was thrown. It left a pretty big dent in the left side of the robot’s face.
Sonic managed to recover from the hit and attempted another homing attack at the robot as it was pulling itself back together. The hedgehog penetrated the head like a bullet through a narrow cascade. Once more, the Dangerous Ball Tower was out of commission; the three balls that served as its body separated, not to come together again.
Sonic chuckled. “You may have gotten one lick in, Blubberbutt, but your robot got wrecked anyway!”
“Oooh! But, Daddy’s gotta big surpwise juss foe yoo guys!” Cubot squealed in the voice of a little girl (much to his builder’s annoyance).
Eggman sighed, but regained his determination. “He’s right; I have a Plan B in the event that something like this happened!” He whipped out a remote and pressed a button on it.
“Is it another recycled ‘bot of yours?” said Sonic, folding his arms behind his head.
   Eggman growled.
After a moment, something flew toward the airport. It looked like a hedgehog, but it had no arms; thrusters were mounted there instead. It slowly touched down in the midst of them.
“One of your Sonic robots?” said Tails.
The doctor laughed. “YOU never met him, Tails, but SONIC has.” He faced Sonic and spoke again. “I’m sure you remember EGG-06 Silver Sonic Mk.-I!”
“I wonder if it’s as much a pushover as it was last time!” the hedgehog exclaimed.
No sooner had he said that did EGG-06 rev up as a ball and dash at him. Sonic barely had enough time to evade.
Sonic rebounded and did a homing attack, knocking the robot over; it was able to use its jets to right itself.
“Time to help the spare parts industry!” the hedgehog quipped. He began revving up his legs, forming a red Figure-8, and charged at his robot double.
At the last second, the blue streak rushing at the robot had to make a forty-five degree turn to the right. The robot had just sent out some sort of prodding device from its belly. Sonic would have to miss this hit, but Tails was able to spin jump into the robot’s face.
Sonic, his feet screeching as he turned around, made another rush at the original Silver Sonic. He jumped into the air and delivered another homing attack. The bulk of the robot tumbled away like a kicked can; its eyes went offline when it stopped bouncing around.
The brothers faced the bewildered Eggman. “Anything else you want wrecked, Egghead?” Sonic asked in triumph.
Eggman was still reeling from Sonic’s easy victory and tried to laugh it off. “Oh, Sonic! This is just a little appetizer! I won’t let you have too much for one night!” The Egg Mobile turned around and began to fly off.
The last thing Sonic and Tails heard was Cubot’s little girly voice asking if they could get “ice cweam” on the way home; Eggman’s response was a growly “no”.
“Bye!” Yelled Sonic, waving “Come back again if you want another spanking!”

Amid the cheers of the people still around to witness the fight, Tails surveyed the wreckage of the airport; the remains of the two robots were heavily damaged, but repairable. “I think the Sonic Museum’s going to call us about their new inductions.”
“Maybe,” said Sonic “but those kinds of places bore me, so I probably won’t be visiting them much.” He stretched as he let out a big yawn. “What do you say we go home and hop in the bed?”
“Yeah, might as well,” Tails agreed.
The two of them left the airport as quickly as they’d arrived.
