13: Padded For the Night
A few hours passed before Sonic, Tails, and their mother were back in the boys’ bedroom. Tails’ bunk had been dried off and redressed… saved for one pillow.
Tails was using it for the inevitable diapering Vanilla was giving him right now. But before he knew it, she was finished. The boy wasn’t completely surprised because of two reasons:
1) He didn’t do anything in his pants, so all she had to do was powder and fasten.
2) Their mother was a diaper-changing expert with eight years of experience.
He turned to face Sonic. His brother was in his T-Shirt and a pair of boxers, listening to his MP3 Player.
“All finished, son!” said Vanilla.
Tails sighed and sat up. He looked down at the diaper his mother put on him: it looked exactly like the last one he saw his sister wearing; Cream’s was smaller, of course, but it had the same panel of graphics on the waist shield.
He poked the padding with his finger. It crinkled softly.
He was not happy about wearing it.
It smelled nice, though.
Vanilla gave her son a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “You’ll be fine,” she said. “It’s just till morning.” She got up and left the room.
Tails stood up and looked down at the diaper one more time. He just couldn’t stop looking at it.
It felt good, but it was so babyish. Of course, it was made for babies, but he was small enough to wear it. It fit better than Cream’s, that’s for sure.
Sonic chuckled softly.
Tails turned and faced the hedgehog, a bit ticked. “This isn’t funny, Sonic.”
“I’m sorry, dude, I didn’t mean to laugh,” his brother said. “It’s just that it’s been forever since I’ve seen you wear a diaper.”
“Well, I don’t like it,” the boy walked around a little. He crinkled with every step. It was soft though — inside and out.
“Dude,” Sonic said, “nobody in this house is going to treat you like a baby just because you have to wear diapers to bed!”
Tails threw his pillow onto his bunk and propelled himself up there. “At least I can still fly with this on,” said the fox. He wasn’t even going to change into his pajamas; he was too disappointed to do anything right now. He crawled under the covers in just his diaper, socks, and the shirt he was wearing. He just wanted to go to sleep and hope this day was just a dream.
“Already going to bed?” asked Sonic.
“Sonic,” said Tails “I don’t want to talk right now.”
